There are three options for accommodation at Poronui: The Lodge, Blake House and the Safari Camp.
The main lodge, perched above the ‘Home Pool’ on the Taharua River, offers seven individually appointed guest cabins that have evolved from what was once a rustic fishing camp into one of the world’s finest sporting lodges. The lodge kitchen is renowned for its gourmet food, expertly prepared by a team of chefs who pride themselves on sourcing locally and in season.
Blake House sits on a promontory overlooking the Taharua River and is set amidst a backdrop of spectacular North Island wilderness scenery and is taken on an exclusive basis. The two expansive lounges, with soaring ceilings and huge open fireplaces, together with the kitchen, dining area, library and den form the central living space. Two private, spacious en suite guest rooms are situated at either end of the house and additional accommodation is available in two bunk rooms, each with four single bunks. The house is fully serviced together with a host and private chef.
The Safari Camp is luxury camping on the banks of the Mohaka River. Dine under the stars, roast marshmallows on the campfire embers and fall asleep to the sound of the cascading river.
Guests at the Safari Camp and Blake House have full use of the facilities at the Stables including the sauna, steam room, gymnasium, snooker room and wine cellar.
