Kamalame Cay

Kamalame Cay, Bahamas

Kamalame is an award-winning destination on a 96-acre private island just off the coast of Andros. Bonefishing is available in nearby creeks and flats and the famous Joulter Cays, one of the world's premier bonefish destinations, are 30 minutes away. There is also excellent blue water fishing.

Type of fishing

Andros is known for bonefish and Kamalame has access to a myriad of creeks and flats so it is possible to wander out from your accommodation unaccompanied and catch a tailing bonefish before dinner!

Experienced guides will take you out to fish the areas around Kamalame, or you can transfer by vehicle to fish the Joulter Cays a 30-minute drive away. This is one of the best known areas for bonefish in the world and although the average weight is around 4lb many fish over10lb are landed.

Kamalame is also just one mile off the Andros Great Barrier Reef (the third largest in the world), which offers great blue water fishing for everything from dorado and wahoo to tuna and blue marlin.
